Emanuele ha giocato a livello dilettantistico per l’Italia a livello di ragazzi, giovani e senior e uno dei suoi primi successi professionali è stato il terzo posto a pari merito con l’eroe Costantino Rocca nell’Open d’Italia del 1995. Prima della stagione 2005, due secondi posti sono stati il suo miglior risultato nell’European Tour, prima di fare il salto di qualità con la sua prima vittoria nel Johnnie Walker Championship a Gleneagles. Al termine della stagione 2004, aveva preso in seria considerazione l’idea di abbandonare il gioco, ma il sostegno e l’incoraggiamento della famiglia e degli amici, tra cui le leggende del calcio Roberto Donadoni, Gianluca Vialli e Marco Simone, lo hanno convinto a concedere un altro anno. La decisione si è rivelata giusta. Un uomo piccolo ma in grado di spingere la pallina da golf a distanze prodigiose. Ha vinto la categoria Driving Distance delle statistiche dell’European Tour per tre anni consecutivi, dal 1998 al 2000.

Emanuele played amateur golf for Italy at boy, youth and senior level and one of his early professional highlights was finishing tied third alongside hero, Costantino Rocca, in the 1995 Italian Open. Prior to the 2005 season, two second place finishes were his best European Tour return before he made the breakthrough with his maiden victory in the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles. At the end of the 2004 season, he had given serious consideration to giving up the game before support and encouragement from his family and friends, including football legends Roberto Donadoni, Gianluca Vialli and Marco Simone, persuaded him to give it one more year. It proved the right decision. Only a small man but able to propel the golf ball prodigious distances. Won The European Tour Statistics Driving Distance category three years in a row from 1998 to 2000.

Dal 2021 Peppo è impegnato nelle gare del Legends Tour, nome attuale dell’European Senior Tour, circuito ufficiale per i giocatori over 50. Fa parte del PGA European Tour insieme al DP World Tour e all’European Challenge Tour. Nella sua stagione da rookie, Emanuele ha ottenuto il miglior piazzamento, il terzo posto, al Senior Italian Open del 2021, mentre nel 2022 si è classificato secondo all’Irish Legends e ha ottenuto altri due terzi posti allo Staysure PGA Seniors Championship e al MCB Tour Championship – Seychelles. Classificandosi al decimo posto nell’ordine di merito 2022, ottiene la partecipazione per l’anno successivo ai quattro Major in calendario. Nel 2023 ha ottenuto tre top ten. Vince il premio come miglior giocatore italiano all’open d’Italia nel 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024.

Since 2021, Peppo has been competing in the Legends Tour, the current name of the European Senior Tour, the official circuit for players over 50. It is part of the PGA European Tour alongside the DP World Tour and the European Challenge Tour. In his rookie season, Emanuele achieved his best finish, third place, at the 2021 Senior Italian Open, while in 2022 he finished second at the Irish Legends and took two more third places at the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship and the MCB Tour Championship – Seychelles. By ranking tenth in the 2022 Order of Merit, he qualified for the four Majors on the calendar for the following year. In 2023, he achieved three top ten finishes. He won the award for best Italian player at the Italian Open in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
